Calculate engine displacement from bore, stroke, and cylinder count specifications
How to use: Calculate total engine displacement (volume) from cylinder dimensions. Enter Bore (cylinder diameter in inches or mm - typically 3-5 inches), Stroke (piston travel distance - typically 3-5 inches), and Cylinders (number of cylinders: 4, 6, 8, etc.). Results show displacement in: Cubic Inches (in³ - US measurement) and Liters (L - metric standard). Formula: Displacement = π × (Bore/2)² × Stroke × Cylinders. Examples: 350 in³ = 5.7L V8, 302 in³ = 5.0L V8, 231 in³ = 3.8L V6. Larger displacement typically means more power but lower fuel efficiency. Critical for engine identification, performance comparisons, emissions classification, and registration requirements.
