Calculate acceleration and G-force from speed change over time
How to use: Calculate vehicle acceleration rate and G-force from speed change over time. Enter Initial Speed (starting speed, often 0 for standing start), Final Speed (ending speed after acceleration), and Time (seconds to accelerate). Select Speed Unit (MPH or KPH). Results show: Acceleration (m/s² - meters per second squared) and G-Force (acceleration relative to gravity). Formula: Acceleration = (Final Speed - Initial Speed) ÷ Time. Examples: 0-60 MPH in 6 seconds = 4.47 m/s² = 0.46g (typical sedan), 0-60 in 3 seconds = 8.94 m/s² = 0.91g (sports car). Performance benchmarks: Economy <10s, Sport 5-7s, Supercar <3s. 1g = Earth's gravity = 9.81 m/s². Used for performance comparisons and vehicle dynamics analysis.
