    How to use: Calculate total capacitance for multiple capacitors in circuit configurations. Select Connection Type: Parallel (capacitors side-by-side, capacitances add directly: Ctotal = C1 + C2 + C3) or Series (capacitors end-to-end, reciprocal formula: 1/Ctotal = 1/C1 + 1/C2 + 1/C3). Enter capacitor values in microfarads (µF). Results show: Total Capacitance with proper unit prefix (µF, nF, pF), connection type, and exact value in farads. Parallel increases total capacitance (100µF + 220µF = 320µF). Series decreases total capacitance (100µF + 100µF = 50µF). Used in power supply filtering, timing circuits, signal coupling, and energy storage applications. Common values: 0.1µF, 10µF, 100µF, 1000µF.
